Hello all!  We are very excited to be just one month away from 9.10.11!

For those staying at Watervale, here are some helpful recommendations of items to plan on bringing for your stay.

Clothing
Average September temperatures in Northern Michigan range from very warm weather during the day (mid 70s) and chilly at night (low 50s). We recommend you pack both your swimsuit and a sweatshirt.

Ladies, you can leave the stilettos behind, because the reception is under a tent in the grass.  Flip flops welcome!   Don’t forget to bring your sweaters to wear over you dress after the sun sets.

Accessories
Flashlight: While there is electricity in the cottages, Watervale’s only outdoor lights at night are provided by the
stars and the moon, therefore you may find a flashlight helpful.

Hairdryer: If you’d like to blow dry your hair you’ll need to bring your own hair dryer as there are not any in any
of the rooms/cottages.

Iron: There are no irons in the rooms so we suggest you bring your clothes pressed and ready to wear. Or bring
your own!

Beach stuff: towel, SPF, bug spray, big floppy hats, inflatable raft, water wings, etc.

Music: If you own a portable music dock or boombox you may want to bring it along for some background music at
your cottage.

Rowboats, canoes, and kayaks are all available to rent for use on Lower Herring Lake.
